MEDICATION POLICIES
1. In order to give medication at Brookwood school the nurse must have a signed consent form on file for the student, and the parent MUST bring in the medication. The nurse is not allowed to give medication from the clinic except in emergency situations. This includes OTC medication such as hydrocortisone cream, Tylenol, Motrin, Tums, etc.
2. Medication MUST be delivered to the to nurse by a parent or guardian. No medication is to be brought to school or sent home in book bags. (Effective August 2017)
3. If your child has Asthma or anaphylactic allergies, the nurse MUST have an Allergy or Asthma Action Plan and emergency medication from the child's pediatrician within 30 days of starting school or diagnosis.
